- The tool provides the possibility to search for strings (parts of words, words or word combinations) everywhere in the database in Greek, Latin, or English and offers suggestions based on Autocomplete.
- The search is not case sensitive.
- For a search in Greek you should use diacritics; to find instances of the term "φίλε" you should type the exact term and not simply "φίλε".
- You may use the typical operators:
- " " : Search for results that mention a word combination, e.g, the combination "τὴν τοῦ"
- * : Wildcard matching any string, e.g. "φίλ*" matches both "φίλε" and "φίλτατ'"
- || : search for results matching a or b; among others you may use the operator if you want to get as result all or some types of a lemma, e.g. "δὲ || δέ || δ'" for all types of "δέ"
- ( ): group multiple searches
- - : search for results without a certain string, e.g. the search "ἦν -(δέ||δὲ||δ')" renders all instances in which the term "ἦν" appears excluding those in which it is followed by a type of "δέ"
